Sicily will pay for half of your flight cost as well as a third of accommodation costs if you visit in Autumn 2020
Having lost out on an estimated €1 billion on tourism due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the Sicilian government are desperately trying to entice visitors back to the beautiful island.
The Proposal
- Will pay for half the flight costs
- Will pay for 1-in-3 nights accommodation
- Will also provide free tickets to many of its museums and archaeological sites
- Must visit Sicily tourism website once lockdown is over
However…
The world is still in lockdown. This is subject to international borders and travel being opened back up. It is still unclear when Italy will reopen its borders, after having one of the highest death rates in the world during the Cov-19 outbreak.
